Wind turbine with sunset sky, representing global energy infrastructure.

A global energy equipment provider recently faced a time-sensitive challenge. They needed a fully assembled transmitter stand for a dual-fuel power generation unit scheduled for international deployment. The unit hadn’t been built in years. Documentation was incomplete, the bill of materials was outdated, and much of the institutional knowledge had been lost.

The project required more than standard parts fulfillment. It needed technical interpretation, sourcing, coordination, and hands-on problem solving. It required a Global Power Infrastructure Solution.

The Challenge

What began as a quote for a loose parts kit quickly turned into a request for a complete plug-and-play assembly. The production team needed something that could be installed directly on the accessory base with minimal adjustments. The drawings provided were vague, and several key components were missing from the BOM. The clock was ticking.

The Response

Our team got to work immediately. A technical advisor reviewed the provided drawings and collaborated with our long-time integrator in Albany, NY, to translate the partial designs into a buildable physical assembly.

Missing parts, including tubing, Swagelok components, and fasteners, were sourced quickly through our vast and trusted network of suppliers. Project management, program management, technical advisors, and sourcing teams worked in sync to ensure every detail was addressed.

To close the loop, team members visited the customer’s production site to observe the installation of the first assembly. Feedback was gathered directly from engineers and production leaders on the floor and applied to improve future builds.

The Results

Fully assembled transmitter stand with mounted instruments, ready for deployment.          Transmitter stand securely packed in a wooden crate for international shipment.

On-Time Delivery of First Assembly
The initial transmitter stand assembly was delivered, installed, and approved within the targeted timeline. This helped the customer avoid delays to their broader power generation project and maintain momentum on overseas deployment.

Real-Time Feedback Improved Future Builds
During the on-site installation, our team gathered direct input from the customer’s engineering and production leads. This feedback was immediately applied to optimize part fit, labeling, and installability for subsequent assemblies.

Scaled Production Commitment Secured
Following the success of the first build, six additional assemblies were scheduled for delivery. The revised documentation and improved build process helped reduce turnaround time for each unit.

Named Preferred Supplier for Future Builds
Due to our performance on this project, the customer designated Gexpro Services as their go-to partner for this type of assembly moving forward. This status opens the door for long-term collaboration across future platforms.

Ready to Support Global Expansion
With updated documentation, a proven supply chain model, and integration-ready assemblies, we are positioned to support the customer’s international projects and long-term production needs with consistency and speed.

What Made This Project Different

This project was not about shipping parts. It was about solving a specific technical problem on a short timeline. The collaboration between internal teams, the integrator, and the customer led to a repeatable solution that meets the needs of both engineering and production.

The outcome: a more efficient build process, reduced installation effort, and a stronger relationship with a key customer in the power generation space–another example of how we solve complex challenges for our clients.
